IBM and Microsoft Joins the Cloud
With every industry leader developing their own version of the cloud, it will only be time when they all agree on their differences and the web begins transition into the web in the clouds where they say it will be simpler and easier to maintain. The concept of cloud computing is actually a mere revision of the old computer network setup then known as the server-client topography. The only difference is that the web is now dynamic with most of the action happening in split seconds out of sight. Doing a mere search takes a few milliseconds but the tasks that have to happen for a search to be successful is simply too complex to fathom should it be laid out and written down.
The technology has taken us to distant planets and beyond to galaxies that we could never even visualize without powerful computers crunching away at terabytes of data to come up with a single image. As computers become smaller yet more powerful, the games we play have come next to reality enough to engross one in hours of game play. Cloud computing will surely advance the realm of the internet, taking control out of the hand of the major companies whom we would rent computing time from rather than subscribe to. How the charging system would take form is yet to be devised, we can only wait at the next evolutionary step for the internet and beyond.
